Winnipeg, MB – Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) welcomed two new board members during its annual general meeting held in Winnipeg on March 13. The new directors are Warren Ellis, representing Manitoba Canola Growers Association, and Ernest Wiebe, representing BC Grain Producers Association.
In his opening address, Roger Chevraux, Chair of CCGA, acknowledged retiring directors Pam Bailey from Manitoba and Robert Vander Linden from British Columbia.
“I want to thank our two retiring directors for their commitment to serving canola farmers and the contributions that they have made to this association,” said Chevraux. “Pam Bailey and Robert Vander Linden have been valuable members of our board, and we appreciate their work on behalf of Canada’s 43,000 canola farmers.”
In welcoming the incoming directors, Chevraux expressed his appreciation to both directors for their willingness to represent their provincial commissions at the national level. “We welcome Ernest Wiebe and Warren Ellis to the board and look forward to working with them. They bring a diversity of experience and regional perspectives to the table.”
